Brake Switch
Lenze ERZ0051 and ERZ0052 brake switches are triggered by a digital output of the drive and supply the electromagnetic holding brake with 205 V DC or 180 V DC.

An electronic brake switch lets the drive control the electromagnetic holding brake on a motor. The switch is triggered through a digital output linked to the drive's holding brake control, so releasing and applying the brake stays synchronised with the drive software.
Two models are available: the ERZ0051 is fed from a single-phase AC 230 V supply and delivers 205 V DC (0.54 A) to the brake, while the ERZ0052 connects to a three-phase AC 400 V supply and provides 180 V DC (0.61 A). Both are IP00 modules for horizontal, suspended mounting in the control cabinet and are wired via screw terminals.
During commissioning there is no need to use the manual release lever on the motor: the brake can simply be released with a pushbutton on the drive.
