The Lenze c430 is the entry-level model of the c430/c520/c550 controller family, developed for basic motion control in compact machines. It handles control tasks in which several axes have to move in a coordinated way with high dynamics, and Lenze software modules make it quick to set up modern, modular machine control.
The device runs on an Arm® Cortex®-A9 800 MHz processor with the RT Linux operating system. Its battery-free design eliminates maintenance, and an extended ambient temperature range of up to 60 °C allows the controller to be used in practically every area of industry.
The drives are addressed via EtherCAT master. The fieldbus function can be switched between Ethernet switch, PROFINET IO device and EtherCAT slave, so the c430 connects easily to a higher-level control system. Programming uses the same engineering tools as other Lenze products, and in combination with EASY UI Designer and the v430/v450 web panel it supports web-based machine visualisation.
