The Lenze c520 is designed for motion control tasks in compact machines that call for high computing power. It comfortably handles control tasks in which several axes move in a coordinated, highly dynamic way, and modern, modular machine control can be built on Lenze software modules.
The controller runs on an Intel® Atom™ 1.6 GHz processor with the RT Linux operating system. Its battery-free design removes the need for maintenance, while the extended ambient temperature range of up to 60 °C makes it suitable for practically every area of industry.
Drives are controlled via EtherCAT master; EtherCAT slave, PROFINET IO device and 1000 Mbps Ethernet interfaces connect it to higher-level systems, and an optional fieldbus extension can be added when required. Programming uses the same engineering tools as other Lenze products, and web-based machine visualisation can be created with EASY UI Designer and the v430/v450 web panel.
