The compact Lenze p500 brings logic (PLC), motion control and visualisation together in one device. It is intended as the control and visualisation system inside the machine for applications with central motion control, and it covers tasks ranging from simple to demanding.
The p500 runs on an Intel® Atom™ 1.75 GHz processor with Windows® CE and comes with the Logic + Motion runtime and the VisiWinNET® visualisation runtime with 1000 power tags. Resistive touchscreens are available in 7", 10.4" and 15" sizes. An integrated UPS keeps system availability high, the design needs neither battery nor fan, and a pluggable memory card makes device replacement easy.
Interfaces include EtherCAT master, CANopen, PROFIBUS master/slave and PROFINET IO device, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet with a 2-port switch and RS232, RS422 and RS485 serial ports, making it straightforward to fit the controller into different machine architectures.
