The G500-B + M550-U + i550 motec Bevel Gearmotor combines Lenze's G500-B bevel gearbox with an M550-U motor and an i550 motec frequency inverter mounted directly on the motor, forming one compact mechatronic unit. Rated IE5 to IEC TS 60034-30-2 (Grade 2 under China's GB 30253-2024), the unit is smaller than a comparable IE3 solution and is already prepared for upcoming drive regulations.
Because the inverter sits on the drive itself, speed is adjusted locally without a separate control-cabinet inverter, and sensorless operation delivers up to 250% starting torque from standstill. As the units hold most international approvals they can be installed in machines worldwide, and their high efficiency class helps operators qualify for regional or market-specific efficiency incentives.
The right-angle G500-B bevel gearbox handles high permissible radial forces and offers closely stepped ratios with low backlash. The range spans 0.37 … 11 kW and output torques of 8 to 4300 Nm, with ratios up to i = 2935 in 2-, 3- and 4-stage designs.
