The G500-B + M550-U + i650 motec Bevel Gearmotor combines Lenze's G500-B bevel gearbox with an M550-U motor and an i650 motec frequency inverter mounted directly on the motor, forming one compact mechatronic unit. Rated IE5 to IEC TS 60034-30-2 (Grade 2 under China's GB 30253-2024), the unit is smaller than a comparable IE3 solution and is already prepared for upcoming drive regulations.
Because the inverter sits on the drive itself, speed is adjusted locally without a separate control-cabinet inverter, and sensorless operation delivers up to 250% starting torque from standstill. The i650 motec adds extended functions such as a Logic PLC, table positioning and Safe Torque Off (STO) via CIP Safety. As the units hold most international approvals they can be installed in machines worldwide, and their high efficiency class helps operators qualify for regional or market-specific efficiency incentives.
The right-angle G500-B bevel gearbox handles high permissible radial forces and offers closely stepped ratios with low backlash. The range spans 0.37 … 11 kW and output torques of 8 to 4300 Nm, with ratios up to i = 2935 in 2-, 3- and 4-stage designs.
