The G500-B + M650-U + i650 motec Bevel Gearmotor combines Lenze's G500-B bevel gearbox with an M650-U motor and an i650 motec frequency inverter mounted directly on the motor, forming one compact mechatronic unit. Designed for 120 Hz and rated IE5 to IEC TS 60034-30-2 (Grade 2 under GB 30253-2024), the motor is a sustainable choice where a very wide speed setting range is needed; it is two frame sizes smaller than an IE3 equivalent, and its low mass moment of inertia suits dynamic tasks.
Because the inverter sits on the drive itself, speed is adjusted locally without a separate control-cabinet inverter, and sensorless operation delivers up to 250% starting torque from standstill. The i650 motec adds extended functions such as a Logic PLC, table positioning and Safe Torque Off (STO) via CIP Safety. As the units hold most international approvals they can be installed in machines worldwide, and their high efficiency class helps operators qualify for regional or market-specific efficiency incentives.
The right-angle G500-B bevel gearbox handles high permissible radial forces and offers closely stepped ratios with low backlash. The range spans 0.75 … 22 kW and output torques of 8 to 4300 Nm, with ratios up to i = 2935 in 2-, 3- and 4-stage designs.
