The G500-B + M550-U Bevel Gearmotor is a compact right-angle drive unit that pairs the highly efficient G500-B bevel gearbox with an M550-U three-phase motor. Rated IE5 to IEC TS 60034-30-2 (Grade 2 under China's GB 30253-2024), the unit is smaller than a comparable IE3 solution and is already prepared for upcoming drive regulations.
The motor is optimized for sensorless operation on the i510/i550 cabinet, i550 protec and i550/i650 motec frequency inverters, reaching up to 250% starting torque from standstill in these combinations. With most international approvals in place the drives can be used worldwide, and the high efficiency class makes regional or market-specific efficiency incentives easier to obtain.
The right-angle G500-B bevel gearbox handles high permissible radial forces and offers closely stepped ratios with low backlash. The range spans 0.37 … 11 kW and output torques of 8 to 4300 Nm, with ratios up to i = 2935 in 2-, 3- and 4-stage designs.
