The G500-B + M550-V Bevel Gearmotor is a compact right-angle drive unit that pairs the highly efficient G500-B bevel gearbox with an M550-V three-phase motor. With efficiency class IE6 to IEC TS 60034-30-2 (Grade 1 under GB 30253-2024) it reaches the top efficiency level while staying no larger than an IE3 drive, keeping energy use and CO₂ emissions in operation to a minimum.
The motor is optimized for sensorless operation on the i510/i550 cabinet, i550 protec and i550/i650 motec frequency inverters, reaching up to 300% starting torque from standstill in these combinations. With most international approvals in place the drives can be used worldwide, and the high efficiency class makes regional or market-specific efficiency incentives easier to obtain.
The right-angle G500-B bevel gearbox handles high permissible radial forces and offers closely stepped ratios with low backlash. The range spans 0.25 … 7.5 kW and output torques of 8 to 4300 Nm, with ratios up to i = 2935 in 2-, 3- and 4-stage designs.
