The G500-H + M650-U brings together the IE5 M650-U motor, designed for 120 Hz operation, and a G500-H helical gearbox. It is a sustainable choice wherever a very wide speed setting range is needed; its low mass moment of inertia suits dynamic cycles, and it is two frame sizes smaller than a comparable IE3 drive.
The package is optimized for sensorless operation with the i510/i550 cabinet, i550 protec and i550/i650 motec inverters and delivers up to 250% starting torque from standstill. Thanks to a market-oriented modular system the drives can be deployed worldwide and hold most common approvals, while the high efficiency class makes it easier to qualify for regional energy-efficiency incentives.
The G500-H helical gearbox is a robust, compact axial design that withstands high radial loads and offers finely graded ratios with low backlash. Available in 2-, 3- and 4-stage versions, the series covers 0.75 … 22 kW and 4 … 3000 Nm, with ratios up to i = 3240.
