The G500-H + M550-U + i650 motec pairs Lenze's IE5 M550-U motor with a G500-H helical gearbox to form a compact drive package. With IE5 efficiency according to IEC TS 60034-30-2 it is already prepared for upcoming drive efficiency regulations, and it takes up less space than an IE3 solution for the same task.
The i650 motec frequency inverter mounted on the motor provides stepless speed control, making the unit suitable for a broad range of tasks. Sensorless operation still yields up to 250% starting torque from standstill, and the drives can be used worldwide with most common approvals. The i650 motec adds extended functions such as Logic PLC, table positioning and Safe Torque Off (STO) via CIP Safety.
The G500-H helical gearbox is a robust, compact axial design that withstands high radial loads and offers finely graded ratios with low backlash. Available in 2-, 3- and 4-stage versions, the series covers 0.37 … 11 kW and 4 … 3000 Nm, with ratios up to i = 3240.
