The G500-H + M650-U + i550 motec brings together the IE5 M650-U motor, designed for 120 Hz operation, and a G500-H helical gearbox. It is a sustainable choice wherever a very wide speed setting range is needed; its low mass moment of inertia suits dynamic cycles, and it is two frame sizes smaller than a comparable IE3 drive.
The i550 motec frequency inverter mounted on the motor provides stepless speed control, making the unit suitable for a broad range of tasks. Sensorless operation still yields up to 250% starting torque from standstill, and the drives can be used worldwide with most common approvals.
The G500-H helical gearbox is a robust, compact axial design that withstands high radial loads and offers finely graded ratios with low backlash. Available in 2-, 3- and 4-stage versions, the series covers 0.37 … 11 kW and 4 … 3000 Nm, with ratios up to i = 3240.
