The Lenze i550 cabinet is a compact frequency inverter for control cabinet installation whose functions scale with the application. Flexible, dependable and straightforward to operate, it meets the requirements of the Ecodesign Directive under standard EN IEC 61800-9-2.
Saving space is central to the design: units up to 4 kW are only 60 mm wide, units up to 11 kW are 130 mm deep, and the inverters can be mounted side by side without any clearance. Interaction options such as WLAN shorten commissioning considerably and make diagnostics more convenient. The inverter can be ordered as a complete device or as separate parts – Power Unit, Control Unit and Safety Unit.
Operating on mains from 1 AC 120 V up to 3 AC 480 V, the i550 cabinet offers 5 digital inputs, 1 digital output, 2 analog inputs, 1 analog output and 1 NO/NC relay, plus a DC-bus connection and motor temperature monitoring. The optional Safe Torque Off (STO) function reaches SIL 3 (EN IEC 61508) and Performance Level e (EN ISO 13849-1). Typical applications include conveyor, travelling, winding and hoist drives, extruders, packaging machines, pumps and fans.
