The smart Lenze i950 cabinet servo inverter provides precise, dynamic motion control for complex multi-axis machines and can be equipped with a broad range of safety options. Its design priorities are high power density, less wiring, simpler commissioning and a flexible, modular architecture. The drive can be controlled centrally by a higher-level controller or run on its own internal logic. According to the technical data, axis modules cover 0.37 to 110 kW, and One Cable Technology (OCT) cuts cabling effort while preventing interference.
Feedback and fieldbus connections are modular, which reduces the number of variants and system costs. Interchangeable communication interfaces for CAN, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, EtherCAT and EtherNet/IP, together with support for drive profiles such as CiA 402 (depending on the protocol), allow integration into very different automation environments.
The i950 ships with technology functions from the Lenze FAST Application Software as standard. Pre-configured applications such as table positioning, electronic gearbox or winder run on the built-in PLC, so drives are parameterised rather than programmed, and the software modules can be adapted or extended when needed. Sensorless control supports the energy-efficient IE5/IE6 Lenze m550 and m650 motors, firmware 2.0 and later adds integrated cybersecurity functions, and the drive meets the Ecodesign requirements of EN IEC 61800-9-2.
