The Lenze m550-V brings the highest efficiency class currently defined, IE6, to the 0.25 to 7.5 kW range. It is a strong choice for continuously running drives where energy consumption dominates the life-cycle costs, and investments in this class are subsidised in many regions to lower CO₂ emissions.
Compared with an IE3 motor, the m550-V lowers losses by up to 60% and reaches the top class IE6 under IEC TS 60034-30-2 and Grade 1 under GB30253-2024. It delivers up to 300% starting torque from standstill while keeping the footprint of a standard three-phase motor.
The series spans 0.25 … 7.5 kW and 1.2 … 38.5 Nm in B3, B5 and B14 mounting designs. Lenze has optimised the motor for use on its own, as a geared motor with g500 gearboxes and with i510/i550 cabinet, i550 protec and i550/i650 motec inverters; it can also be ordered with the drive package already mounted.
