This drive unit pairs the IE6 m550-V three-phase motor with an i550 motec frequency inverter mounted directly on the motor, so speed is controlled at the machine rather than from the control cabinet. The integrated inverter makes the drive suitable for a broad range of speed-controlled tasks.
Compared with an IE3 motor, the m550-V lowers losses by up to 60% and reaches the top class IE6 under IEC TS 60034-30-2 and Grade 1 under GB30253-2024. It delivers up to 300% starting torque from standstill while keeping the footprint of a standard three-phase motor.
The combination covers 0.25 … 7.5 kW with torques of 1.2 … 38.5 Nm and is available in B3, B5 and B14 mounting designs. Connection via terminal box or standard plug connectors keeps commissioning quick.
