o450 Analog Motor-Driven Roller

The Lenze o450 is an analog motor-driven roller (MDR) for intralogistics conveyors, available for 24 V or 48 V supply. Instead of a gearbox, it uses a brushless permanent-magnet external-rotor motor based on the Vernier principle, which moves loads quietly and transports goods noticeably faster than conventional rollers.

With peak torques of 3.1 Nm (24 V) or 4 Nm (48 V) and rated conveying speeds of 1.05 m/s or 2.1 m/s, the roller accelerates loads quickly and stops them at a repeatable position regardless of weight. This shortens stopping distances and lets buffer zones on the conveyor be reduced. According to Lenze, the drive delivers up to twice the power of other MDRs, saves around 15% energy through low friction losses and uses a magnet type with 30% less rare-earth content.

The roller has a 50 mm tube diameter and installation lengths from 345 to 1500 mm, and is connected via standard plug-and-play control units. It suits roller conveyors, accumulation conveyors and dynamic sorters, and integrates easily into existing conveyor lines.
