PGR PZ series cylindrical gearboxes are designed for high-power drives in heavy industry, combining a compact, lightweight build with long service life and high load capacity. The series covers 4–6666 kW, output speeds of 7.5–1200 rpm and ratios of 1.25–100.
Gears are made of high-strength, low-carbon alloy case-hardening steel; heat treatment brings the tooth flank hardness to HRC 58–62, and all gears are ground for high precision and quiet running. Efficiency exceeds 96.5% with one stage, 93% with two and 90% with three stages. The gearbox can run in either direction, operates without vibration and with low noise, and is easy to install, dismantle and maintain.
For proper use, input speed should not exceed 1500 rpm and gear peripheral speed should stay below 20 m/s. If the ambient temperature is below 0 °C, the oil must be heated to 0 °C before start-up.
