The PGR Pt/A series comprises shaft-mounted helical gearboxes chosen for many transmission systems thanks to their wide ratio range, compact build and easy maintenance. The gearbox can be driven by a belt and pulley or by a chain.
With parallel input and output axes, the series has a rigid two-piece housing and runs via a free input shaft. A hollow shaft or taper-lock output lets it slip onto the driven shaft, where it is held by a torque arm. The range covers 0.5–240 kW, 140–16800 Nm and output speeds of 5–35 rpm.
Housings are made of ductile iron (GGG 40-50) or grey cast iron (GG 20-25), and the gears of forged 21NiCrMo2 case-hardening steel.
Features
