ADL500 is WEG's family of variable speed drives designed exclusively for elevator applications. It comprises three models: the ADL510 for low-rise buildings and modernisation projects, the ADL530 for both geared and gearless machines, and the flagship ADL550 with a comprehensive safety package.
The series drives asynchronous and, on the ADL530/ADL550, synchronous lift motors in open or closed loop, with ±0.01% speed accuracy and output frequencies up to 300 Hz. Three-phase 230–480 V (-4), three-phase 200–230 V (-2T) and single-phase 200–230 V (-2M) supply variants cover a power range from 1.1 kW to 45 kW.
An integrated braking unit, Modbus-TCP over RJ45, a USB port (ADL530/ADL550), CANopen Lift (CiA 417) support and wireless commissioning via the WEG Liftouch app make the ADL500 a practical choice for new installations and refurbishments. The drives are developed in line with the EN 81-20 / EN 81-50 lift standards.
