CFW500 is a compact WEG variable speed drive for speed and torque control of three-phase induction and permanent magnet motors, aimed at machine builders, system integrators and panel builders. The second-generation (G2) version packs more functions into the same footprint and extends the power range up to 132 kW (175 HP).
The drive supports scalar (V/f), VVW, VVW PM for permanent magnet motors, and sensorless or encoder-based vector control. RS-485 (Modbus RTU/BACnet) is standard, while CANopen, DeviceNet, Profibus DP, PROFINET IO, EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP are added via plug-in modules. An optional STO module, a remote keypad with real-time clock and the WEG Pump Genius function for simplex and multiplex pumping are also available.
Conformal-coated boards, heavy-duty rating with 150% overload for 60 seconds and ambient temperatures up to 50 °C depending on frame make the CFW500 a reliable choice for pumps, fans, conveyors and extrusion.
