RUW200 is WEG's modular remote I/O unit for industrial automation. It collects field signals close to the machine and passes them over industrial Ethernet to a higher-level controller, such as WEG PLC200/PLC201 controllers or third-party PLCs, reducing panel wiring and signal cable runs.
The unit comes in two versions: the RUW200-CETH with two Ethernet ports supports EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP, while the RUW200-ECAT with two EtherCAT ports connects to EtherCAT networks. The dual-port design allows units to be daisy-chained easily, and a web server is available for configuration and diagnostics.
Up to eight expansion modules can be added next to the main unit, including 24 digital inputs, 24 digital outputs, mixed 8/16 digital I/O, 7 analogue inputs, 8 analogue outputs, 6 relay outputs, 7 thermocouple inputs (J, K, T), 4 PT100/PT1000 inputs and 2 load cell inputs. Parameters are saved to flash memory so they are retained after power loss.
