WEG system drives are high-performance variable speed drives that operate as part of process lines in industrial plants. The core product in this class, the CFW11, controls torque, speed and position with high static and dynamic performance, driving both standard three-phase induction machines and WEG WMagnet permanent magnet machines.
The CFW11 offers 1.1 kW to 630 kW at 200–240 V, 380–480 V, 500–600 V and 600–690 V, with modular AFW11M/CFW11M solutions for higher powers. Overload capacity is 110% for 60 s in normal duty and 150% for 60 s in heavy duty. SoftPLC, a soft-key keypad with oriented start-up, a USB port and plug-and-play accessory slots are standard.
Modbus-RTU/TCP, Profibus-DP-V1, DeviceNet, CANopen, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, PROFINET-IO and BACnet options, an optional STO safety module (Cat. 3 / PLd, SIL CL2), an external 24 V DC control supply and IP55/NEMA 12 versions make the CFW11 flexible for system integration. For new projects its successor, the CFW900, can also be considered.
Features
Precise torque, speed and position control
High static and dynamic performance enables accurate process control.
Induction and WMagnet motors
WEG permanent magnet motors are driven as well as three-phase induction motors.
Wide range of communication options
Modbus, Profibus, DeviceNet, CANopen, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, PROFINET and BACnet are supported.
High overload capacity
Heavy duty provides 150% overload for 60 seconds and 200% for 3 seconds.
Optional STO safety
The Safe Torque Off module blocks PWM pulses so the motor stops safely.
Applications
- Synchronised drives in process lines
- Paper, textile and metal processing lines
- Cranes and hoisting systems
- Pump, fan and compressor systems
- Extrusion and winding applications
