W51 HD (High Density) is a totally enclosed three-phase induction motor line with a squirrel-cage rotor. It is built in IEC frames 315 to 450 and equivalent NEMA frames, at low voltage and medium voltage up to 6.6 kV, with versions up to 11 kV available on request. The compact, robust frame provides a high output-to-weight ratio, and low mechanical losses raise efficiency.
The frame, endshields, fan cover and air baffles are made of FC-200 cast iron. An optimised cooling system and an innovative drive endshield design deliver high heat transfer, which means lower vibration and bearing temperatures. The line is suitable for variable speed drive operation and Industry 4.0 monitoring.
Terminal box position, foot holes and shaft dimensions can be adapted quickly, and a wide range of options and accessories is available. Safe-area and hazardous-area versions are offered. Euronorm provides selection support and quotations for W51 HD motors.
